Welcome to our wedding website. We’re so excited to celebrate with you. Alex &amp; Kyle are getting married on Saturday, August 22, 2026 in Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast, at Kyle’s sister’s private property. Our day will be a garden formal celebration, primarily outdoors. If you’re travelling from Vancouver or beyond, we recommend booking your stay and the Horseshoe Bay to Langdale ferry in advance.

Our Story

Some stories begin with grand plans. Ours began with a beach walk, two dogs, and the kind of conversation that makes time slip by unnoticed. For their first date, Kyle and Alex met at Barnet Marine Park, with their pups Archer and Wilson in tow. What was meant to be a simple chat and walk along the water quickly became something neither of them wanted to end. The conversation was effortless from the start, natural, fun, and full of the quiet sense that something meaningful was beginning. By their third date, they were already on a spontaneous road trip to the Gorge Amphitheatre for a concert, which felt perfectly in character for what their story would become: equal parts adventure, laughter, and saying yes to the moment. Over time, that first easy connection grew into a life built on love, laughter, and the joy of choosing one another again and again. Last year, Kyle proposed to Alex on a beach in Mexico, making the moment feel beautifully connected to where it all began. And now, with their wedding taking place just steps from the water, their story seems to have found its way back to the shoreline once again. And the pair are ready to take the plunge. From that first doggy date along the beach at Barnet Marine Park to this beautiful next chapter, they are so grateful to celebrate with the people who mean the most to them.

Our wedding will be outdoors, and we’re aiming for a look that feels elegant, festive, and comfortable. Garden formal means polished attire with a softer, outdoor summer feel. Suits, cocktail dresses, long dresses and dressy separates are all great choices. We also suggest footwear that works well on grass and uneven ground.

Getting to the Sunshine Coast (from Vancouver) Most guests will be travelling from Vancouver. The typical route is Horseshoe Bay → Langdale (Gibsons) by ferry, then a short drive up the Coast to Roberts Creek. Ferry travel (please book ahead)Because this is peak summer on the Coast, we strongly recommend booking your ferry in advance and allowing extra time for summer traffic and sailing waits. If you’re planning to drive, booking a vehicle reservation is the safest way to keep your day stress-free. Where to stay We recommend booking accommodations in:- Roberts Creek (closest)- Sechelt / Davis Bay (15 mins North)- Gibsons (15 mins South)-Halfmoon Bay (farthest) Vacation rentals (Airbnbs) can be a great option, especially around Roberts Creek. We’re also looking into hotel blocks, and we’ll share details here if we secure one. Tip: Book early, the Sunshine Coast fills up quickly in August.Getting to and from the venue The wedding will be held at Kyle’s sister’s private property in Roberts Creek. The exact address and arrival instructions will be shared closer to the date. Parking: Parking at the property will be limited, we will be sending out instructions on how to best manage this shortly. Transportation: We’re currently exploring transportation options and will share clear guidance (and any shuttle details, if applicable) as soon as they’re finalized. Accessibility and footwear noteThis is a private property setting with grass and some uneven ground. Please consider this when selecting your footwear.
